Although I graduated from Yale with a B.S. in biology, I've spent most of my career in travel, currently at the helm of Hospitable.Me, a global leader for LGBTQ+ Strategy, Marketing and Training. We also publish ManAboutWorld, a travel magazine for gay men. I have also worked as a commercial photographer, chocolatier, top-selling Avon Representative, author and guest experience consultant. I was Business Manager of the Whiffenpoofs, managed the American Express travel agency in New Haven, Connecticut, and co-founded OUT&ABOUT, the ground-breaking gay travel newsletter and website. I'm a recreational baker, and the only person to have twice won the Water Island Pie Contest (with my Banana Cream Pie). I have visited 54 countries, but still live in Manhattan, where I was born. In my spare time, I blog about consumption at BillyKnowsBest, and serve on the Yale Alumni Board of Governors, where I chair the Volunteer Leadership Committee, and on the board of Yale.NYC, the Yale Alumni Association of New York, where I created and chair Foodtober, a month of food-related events and activities benefitting the Yale Sustainable Food Program, Just Food and City Growers.
